Hengst opens IT hub in Romania, in Craiova

German company Hengst Filtration has opened an IT hub in Romania, in the city of Craiova, expanding its global IT footprint.

“The new hub allows us to adopt new technologies faster, respond flexibly to business needs and prepare our IT landscape for the future,” says CFO Jörg Schroeder. This hub works closely with the headquarters in Münster to drive digitalization within the Hengst Group.

Last year, Hengst Filtration opened a new facility in Balș, Romania, after an initial investment of 8 million euros.

The Balș factory, which covers an area of ​​up to 15,000 square meters, mainly produces filters for the “Filtration for household and professional use” sector, i.e. for cleaning electrical appliances and tools in the private and professional sector.

Hengst Filtration is a family-owned company founded in 1958 in Münster, Westphalia, with over 3,500 employees and 23 locations in Europe (Germany, Poland, Denmark, France, Czech Republic), Asia, North America, South America and Australia.
