Hidroelectrica, on its way out of insolvency: net profit up by 7.3 pc at end-September

State-controlled hydropower producer Hidroelectrica, under insolvency, reported a net profit of RON 709.2 million in the first nine months of this year, up by 7.3 percent compared to same period last year when it reached to RON 660.7 million, the company announced on Tuesday.

Turnover dropped slightly by 0.4 percent to RON 2.467 billion from RON 2.477 billion. Meanwhile, EDITDA increased by 3.1 percent to RON 1.599 billion from RON 1.549 billion.

Moreover, according to the judicial administrator report, the gross profit at 30 September 2015 stood to RON 875 million, RON 56 million higher than the gross profit achieved in the first nine months of 2014, meaning an increase of 6.84 percent.

Hidroelectrica has delivered in this period 13,375,350 MWh, worth RON 2.131 billion.

Also, the total debt of the company decreased to RON 675 million at end-September. On first entry into insolvency in June 2012, the company had total debt of RON 3.997 billion.
