Holcim Romania opens new cement terminal in Neamt County, following RON 12.5 M investment

Holcim Romania inaugurates new cement terminal in Roman, Neamt County, following an investment of RON 12.5 million, according to a press release.

This unit will supply cement mainly to Holcim customers in the counties of Moldova region, namely Bacau, Neamt, Vaslui, Iasi, Botosani and Suceava, completing the extensive national network of terminals and warehouses of the company.

Covering 13,120 square meters, the state-of-the-art terminal is connected to the railway network and has loading and unloading equipment for both bulk cement and cement packaged in bags. Loading / unloading facilities and automated equipment are designed to improve the customer’s business experience and reduce the time required to make and deliver orders.

“With this new cement terminal in Roman (…) we take a step towards supporting a region that needs sustainable and technologically advanced solutions and products to progress, continue developing the infrastructure network, and build new public utility projects and real estate projects,” Sofiane Benmaghnia, CEO Holcim Romania, stated.

Holcim Romania owns 2 cement plants in Campulung and Alesd, a grinding station and a cement terminal in Turda, 14 ecological ready-mix plants, 3 aggregates plants, 2 special binders plants and a cement terminal in Bucharest. Holcim has about. 800 employees on the local market.
