Hungarian State Acquires Târgu Mureș’ Concordia Hotel in €7 Million Transaction

Manevi Zrt, a company in the portfolio of the Central European Built Heritage Conservation Foundation, bought the Concordia Hotel in Târgu Mureș. The owners of the hotel, Mioara and Răzvan Cornel Şipoș, sold the hotel to CanImpEx Marketing, a company registered in Canada. Later, the shares were bought from the company in Toronto by Manevi Pro Transilvania from Satu Mare. The company from Satu Mare is 100% owned by Manevi Zrt, a Hungarian state company, informs the local portal Zi de zi.

Manevi Pro Transilvania also owns Villa Napsugár in Lacul Roșu, Hotel Hope in Borsec, Hotel Park in Oradea, Hotel Korona in Sighet, Hotel Pannónia/Dacia in Satu Mare Mare.

Hotel Concordia, located in the main square of Târgu Mureș, has four stars, has been operating since 2004 in the historic building, built in 1898, and is often called the Papp-Bányai Palace by the guides.

In the 1930s it was the headquarters of the Hungarian National Party, between 1948 and 1954 it housed a trade school, then offices and shops until the hotel opened in 2004.

The 4-star hotel has a swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, beauty salon, hairdresser, conference room and underground parking. According to the hotel’s website, a total of 34 rooms and suites are available.
