International Workplace Group (IWG) opens Regus center in Iași

A new ultramodern flexible workspace will open in the center of Iași by the International Workplace Group (IWG), the world’s largest provider of hybrid work solutions, which includes brands such as Spaces and Regus. Demand for space in IWG locations has grown significantly in Romania as employees increasingly adopt hybrid working.

The new Regus center spans a total area of 1,200 sqm in the modern Sandru Office Iași. It is located in an office park in the city center, on Soseaua Nationala no. 31, close to numerous facilities such as restaurants, cafes, medical centers and fitness centers.

The new center is part of the International Workplace Group’s efforts to meet the growing demand for flexible, high-quality workspaces in the region. The center will open in Q1 2025 and will provide space for companies and start-ups from a wide range of industries, including technology and business services. The new Regus location will include facilities such as private offices, meeting rooms, co-working spaces, and creative areas.

The addition of the new Regus location in Iași comes on the heels of the business posting its highest-ever revenue, cashflow and earnings growth in its history and achieving rapid network growth, signing 465 new locations globally in the first half of 2024 alone.

The owners of the Sandru Office Iași building decided to invest in the International Workplace Group platform to maximize the profitability of the real estate space, capitalizing on the growing demand for hybrid work. IWG provides its partners with access to the company’s full expertise, along with support for design, space planning, sales, and marketing. Annually, the company invests approximately 60 million euros in its global technology platform.

Amid the explosive growth of the market and as companies of all sizes adopt long-term hybrid work, it is estimated that by 2030, 30% of commercial real estate will be flexible spaces. Partners collaborating with the International Workplace Group can capitalize on this expanding sector with the help of the company’s extensive experience. Hybrid work offers companies a significant cost reduction, with an average saving of 10,750 euros per employee[i].

International Workplace Group is the world leader in providing flexible workspaces, with nearly 4,000 locations in over 120 countries, giving members access to all locations and business services through the company’s app.

In the context of the ongoing transition to hybrid work, the growth potential is enormous, considering the total of 1.2 billion employees worldwide and the market’s total addressable size—over 1,880 billion euros. In 2023, the International Workplace Group added more than 800 new partner locations, with 83% of Fortune 500 companies among its clients.

Mark Dixon, CEO and Founder of International Workplace Group PLC, stated: “We are strengthening our presence in Iași with this highly anticipated new opening. As a key business hub, Iași is a fantastic place to expand our plans. The need for high-quality flexible workspaces continues to grow as hybrid work becomes the new normal. We are very excited to partner with RMS CONSULTING to develop the Regus brand through this management agreement, which will add an ultramodern workspace to their building.”
