The characters of the Căutărescu Family were built based on specific sitcom archetypes (any resemblance to Young Sheldon, Kramer, Al Bundy, or Haley Dunphy is purely coincidental). Each of the 6 family members is a type of seeker in life and on eMAG, as well as a type of humorist who perpetuates a certain humour style, whether it’s cynical, dry, or flamboyant so that customers can relate and enjoy a real connection with the brand.
Through the Căutărescu Family, eMAG will become a universal shopping destination and the starting point for anyone looking to buy something online. The Jam Session team aims to transform the eMAG platform into a universal shopping browser, the place where people go to directly when they need something.

eMAG, Jam Session Agency, Family Film, and the director Radu Muntean worked diligently to bring the Căutărescu Family to life and capture six archetypes: the Organized Seeker, the What’s New Seeker, the Super Smart Seeker, the Always Plugged-In Seeker, the Seeker of Something Else, and the Thoughtful Seeker. The six talented actors involved portrayed clichés found among eMAG shoppers, borrowing traits from characters in famous sitcoms.
