Lidl Romania officials say this project comes with attractive benefits and measures in several directions: training and professional development events worth about EUR 2 million and an additional benefits package including a service auto and related expenses of EUR 3 million.
The focus of development is based on 5 categories of competences defined for the new Store Manager profile: professional, entrepreneurial, personal, social and leadership.
This project, unique in Romania, is dedicated exclusively to this group of employees and aims to more emphasize the Lidl’s differentiation as a top employer. The retailer also works to widen this tool development to other staff categories in the organizational chart of Lidl stores.
All store managers will pass through a development stage that began with the annual evaluation and is to be individualized by a check during which individual profile will be reviewed as accurately and complexly as possible. Based on this analysis, there will be developed and implemented for each store head, a training and development program tailored to his needs over 12 consecutive months.
