Lufthansa Group appointed Zlatko Zlatic as their newly General Manager Sales Romania and Moldova starting March. He will be based in Bucharest, handling all the commercial and sales activities of the Lufthansa Group Airlines in Romania and Moldova.
Zlatko Zlatic, aged 52, brings a wealth of knowledge to his new position from his many years of airline management experience. With a diploma in Economics, Zlatic started his career at the Lufthansa Group in 2001 as Key Account Manager for Lufthansa Cargo. After two years working as Revenue Manager in Frankfurt, he obtained practical knowledge of the training with the appropriate departments. Through his position as General Manager Sales in Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) from 2007 till 2009 and in Algier from 2010 till 2015, Zlatic gained great experience with passenger sales. Before coming to Bucharest, he worked as Station Manager in Abuja (Nigeria), reads a press release.
Zlatko Zlatic succeeds Antonio Tassone, who is starting as Director Egypt and North Africa for Lufthansa Cargo AG.
The Lufthansa Group currently offers more than 180 weekly flights from Romania to its four hubs in Europe; Eurowings offers flights from Bucharest to Düsseldorf. Austrian Airlines operates on the routes from Sibiu, Iasi and Bucharest to Vienna. Swiss has a flight connection from Bucharest to Zürich. And Lufthansa offers flights from Cluj, Sibiu, Bucharest and Timisoara to Munich and Frankfurt.
Lufthansa Group airlines serve 343 destinations in 103 countries, offering 13,267 weekly frequencies during summer 2019. The current fleet is comprised of 763 aircraft (as of February 2019) and the Group will continue to take delivery of new aircraft until 2025. In 2018, the Lufthansa Group employed around 135,000 personnel, welcomed 142 million passengers aboard its flights and generated sales of around EUR 35.8 billion.
