MedLife announces the completion of the transaction with the Antares Clinic Group, a private healthcare provider in Moldova. The acquisition was initiated in July this year. This brings MedLife’s total number of clinics and laboratories to 18 and makes it the owner of the largest diagnostic network in Moldova.
Established in 2006, Antares Clinic offers patients a wide range of investigations, from multidisciplinary consultations for more than 25 medical specialties and laboratory services to complex imaging investigations. Patients in the north-east of the country will be able to benefit from all these services on both a fee-for-service and subscription basis.
The group consists of three large outpatient units located in Piatra Neamț, Botoșani and Onești, all of them fitted with state-of-the-art imaging equipment, as well as two laboratories located in Piatra Neamț and Botoșani. Antares Clinic’s turnover last year amounted to 18.3 million lei.
“The integration of the new partner, Antares Clinic, into the group will bring important advantages for patients in the Moldavian region. In addition to our presence in Iași, Galați, Brăila, Piatra Neamț, Roman, Bacău, Suceava and Târgu Neamț, cities where we have a strong foothold in the area of clinics and laboratories, we will further strengthen our presence in the area of medical imaging and beyond. We will thus reach a network of 18 medical units in this region of the country, giving patients access not only to good doctors, but also to complete diagnostic solutions”, said Mihai Marcu President and CEO MedLife Grup.
Currently, the group has accumulated the most significant know-how in integrating and scaling an entrepreneurial business developed by Romanian physicians, with the largest number of transactions in the Romanian private medical sector. In the medium and long term, MedLife also targets cross-border transactions in several countries in the region.
