MedLife, one of the most important players on the domestic market of private healthcare services, continues the strategic transactions trend of last year and starts 2016 with a new acquisition, taking over Diamed Center, a press release informs.
The company, owned by Dan and Luminita Samarghitan, operates five laboratories, two medical clinics, medical rehabilitation center, functional aesthetic medicine and 8 sampling points in Bucharest, Braila, Focsani and Tecuci.
The transaction value was not disclosed. Diamed has an annual turnover of EUR 800,000.
“2016 will be a new peak year for MedLife in terms of acquisitions, a development project which will be strongly accelerated this year. If last year we completed six local transactions with over EUR 5 million investment, this year’s budget amount allocated only for purchases will increase significantly, strengthening the leadership position nationally, services portfolio diversification and optimizing the activity on the existing business segments,” Mihai Marcu (photo), President of MedLife’s Board, stated.
Following the Diamed Center takeover, MedLife will reach a network of 23 laboratories and 32 medical centers distributed in Bucharest and across the country.
For the current year, the largest operator of private medical services in Romania, announces it will continue the purchases.
