Telekom Romania group of companies on Tuesday informed that Miroslav Majoroš was appointed CEO. Miroslav Majoroš, currently the Chief Executive Officer of Slovak Telekom (CEO ST), will take over the Romanian operations leadership as of January 1, 2016, replacing Nikolai Beckers who will pursue new challenges outside Telekom, according to a company’s press release.
Enjoying a technical education, 56-year-old Miroslav Majoroš held management positions in Slovak Television, IBM Slovakia and, in Telekom, in the past 13 years. Since 2010, he has been Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Slovak Telekom. With Telekom Romania, his future strategic ventures focus on expanding FTTH and 3G/4G networks and progress towards operations legal merger. Miroslav Majoros will also remain the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Slovak Telekom.
