Moncler supports the Fiera hospital project with EUR 10 M

Amid difficult times for Italy due to the Coronavirus epidemic, Moncler fashion giant has announced it will donate 10 million euros in order to support a project promoted by the region of Lombardy for the construction of a hospital with over 400 intensive care units in the ex Fiera Milan area.
Milan is a city that has given us all an extraordinary time. We cannot and must not abandon it. It is everyone’s duty to give back to the city what it has given us so far. I have expressed to the councilor Giulio Gallera the will to work on this great project from the moment it was hypothesized and now that there are reasonable certainties on the feasibility, we are ready to support it. I am sure that the team of the Region of Lombardy, also facilitated by the experience of Guido Bertolaso, can bring this great initiative to become a reality as soon as possible”, comments Remo Ruffini, Chairman and CEO.

Moncler was founded at Monestier-de-Clermont, Grenoble, France, in 1952 and is currently headquartered in Italy. Over the years the brand has combined style with constant technological research assisted by experts in activities linked to the world of the mountain. The Moncler outerwear collections marry the extreme demands of nature with those of city life.

In 2003 Remo Ruffini took over the company, of which he is currently Chairman and CEO. Moncler manufactures and directly distributes the clothing and accessories collections under the brand Moncler through its boutiques and in exclusive international department stores and multi-brand outlets.
