On October 10, the new edition of Technovation Girls Romania is launched – the biggest entrepreneurship and IT leadership competition for female students! Participants learn for free how to develop a mobile app, a business plan, a marketing plan, a video pitch, and all while trying to solve real-world problems that touch on topics like poverty, peace, the environment, equality, education or health.
Adfaber Association, the organizer of the competition in Romania, invites students between 8 and 18 years old, all teachers and parents, to participate in the launch of Technovation, in an online event. The Adfaber team will answer all questions about the program and provide detailed information for students who want to enter the Technovation Girls competition and discover free development opportunities. This program can change their lives for the better,
Many students have never had the opportunity to learn the elements of the program’s curriculum, and now, even if they come from disadvantaged backgrounds, they will be able to develop their IT leadership skills
Technovation Girls is a free, annual international program. Hundreds of students from all over the world are signing up and learning with the help of free resources. Last edition, more than 5,500 students from 61 countries developed almost 1,700 IT solutions for real problems of their communities or the world. Romania counted 7 teams in the semifinals of the competition, of which 1 regional winning team in Europe.
Teams consisting of a maximum of 5 girls can participate in Technovation Girls. Thus, be they passionate about communication, design or technology, can contribute to development their project. With Technovation they turn their ideas into solutions and can then win prizessubstantial for their effort to change the world.
The Technovation program presents 3 divisions for participants:
➔ beginner division for girls between 8 and 12 years old,
➔ junior division for girls between 13 and 15 years old
,➔ senior division for girls between 16 and 18 years old.
Mentors can also enroll in the program to provide support to the teams during the competition.Mentors can be parents, teachers or employees in IT fields.
