New facility of Spanish Antolin division in Sibiu, fully operational in early 2015

Grupo Antolin, the largest Spanish manufacturer of vehicle interior components (overhead, doors, seats and lighting) and number 1 worldwide supplier of headliner substrates will open a greenfield auto lighting plant near the existing leased unit in Sibiu. This new facility is scheduled to be operational at the beginning of 2015, sources say. The Spanish group has already begun hiring engineers for the new 13,000-square-meter facility.

During the year, Grupo Antolin-CML lighting division relocated its existing presses to the new site where the company installed 10 more injection molding machines – ranging from 200 to 470 tonnes.

This new unit is placed in the same industrial area as the existing site, close to Sibiu’s airport, with a floor capacity estimated at 100 assembly lines. Spain-based Grupo Antolin acquired the Sibiu plant in 2011 when it took over the French interior lighting supplier CML Innovative Technologies.
