New Section of the Transylvania Highway Could Open in Early December

The Chețani – Câmpia Turzii section (15.7 km) of the Transylvania Highway (A3) could be opened to traffic in early December, according to CNAIR representatives. The Pro Infrastructure Association (API) has reported that they are attempting to inaugurate it on December 1st, Romania’s National Day.

According to the Association’s representatives, the contractors Strabag and Geiger “have exceeded all norms and have the best chances” to open this highway section nine months ahead of schedule.

“Strabag and Geiger demonstrated their prowess on the Transylvania Highway. On Wednesday, we filmed the 15.7-kilometer round trip between Câmpia Turzii and Chețani,” API announced on its Facebook page on Friday.

“In the near future, the cities of Târgu Mureș and Cluj-Napoca will be connected by 113 kilometers on Highway A3, between Ungheni and Nădășelu,” concludes the Pro Infrastructure Association.

OK, but still 4000 Km left. Wake up and accept that the only funding is available from the European Union under strict controlling conditions. Start working!!!
