55 km of Transylvania highway to be built for EUR 114m

The Association between Constructii SA (Romania) – Hidroelektra Mehanizacija DD (Croatia) is the winner of the auction for the design and execution of Suplacu de Barcau – Chiribis subsection on the Brasov-Oradea Motorway, with an offer of RON 361,901 million, VAT excluded (EUR 75.7 million).

According to a communiqué of the National Company for Road Infrastructure Administration (CNAIR), the subsection has a length of 26.35 kilometers, and on the route a road junction will be built at km 24+525 and 19 bridges, passages and viaducts will be built or completed, ziare.com reports.

According to the contractual provisions, the design period is 6 months and the execution time is 18 months.

The second constructor, for the Chiribis-Biharia subsection, with a length of 28.55 km, is the association between Trameco SA – Vahostav – SK – Drumuri Bihor SA – Drum Asfalt SRL – East Water Drillings SRL.

The contract is worth RON 326,515 million without VAT, the equivalent of EUR 68.3 million, and the association has 6 months for the design activity and 18 months for the execution.

Along the route of this subsection, 18 bridges, passages and viaducts will be constructed or completed.
