More than 21,000 Romanians have had their banking accounts blocked in January by the National Fiscal Administration (ANAF), twice as many against last year, according to digi24.ro. On the other hand, the number of deductions on companies has also increased.
The number of accounts blocked are by 88% higher than in 2016, The amounts blocked has thus reached the level of RON 244 million, three times larger than in January last year.
The number of companies having their accounts blocked is 127,000, against 78,000 last year, however the amounts involved are by 7% lower than in January 2016, i.e. RON 740 million.
In January ANAF issued more than 200,000 payment orders, of which 83,000 to natural persons for outstanding payments of RON 1.4 billion. In January 2016 some 220,000 payment orders were issued for the payment of RON 2.1 billion.
