Banks do not work with the public on December 25 and 26 and on January 1 and 2, except for units in shopping centres

Commercial banks do not work with the public on December 25 and 26 and January 1 and 2, except for units in shopping malls and hypermarkets that have special programme during this period.
On Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve the banking units will be open part time.
“The Romanian Commercial Bank (BCR) informs the public that its regional retail centres and corporate business will not be open to the public on December 25 and 26, 2015 and on January 1 and 2, 2016 (Public Holidays),” reads a release from the bank.
The Bank announces that on December 24 and 31, 2015, part of the retail territorial units and all corporate business centres will have a special programme until 13.00h, but about 100 units will operate during normal working hours.
BCR reports that supply with cash will be provided to cash machines (ATM), to the AEMs and multipurpose machines to be permanently available to customers 24 hours of 24, 7 days out of 7, including holidays.
The BRD – Groupe Societe Generale banking units will operate according to a special programme during the holiday. Thus, on December 26, 2015 and January 2, 2016, the agencies in most shopping centres in the country and the ones in Bran and in Poiana Brasov will be available to customers. “The agency at Henri Coanda Airport (Visa Tax) will be available non-stop to the customers, on December 25 and 26, 2015 and on January 1 and 2, 2016. On January 2, 2016 the agency Sinaia will also be open,” a press release from the bank reads.
On December 25, 2015 and January 1, 2016, BRD units, including the ones in the shopping centres, will be closed.
Raiffeisen Bank has announced that on December 25 and 26, 2015 and on January 1 and 2, 2016 the bank units will be closed, including the Customer Service Department (Call Centre). Exceptions are the units in the hypermarkets, the Selgros network and malls. In addition, on December 24 and 31, Raiffeisen Bank will work on reduced schedule until 16.00h, except for the units in hypermarkets and Selgros, a statement from the bank reads.
Banca Romaneasca branches, including Western Union service, will work according to a special programme in the next period.
“Banca Romaneasca branches throughout Romania will have normal hours of work with the public on December 24, 28, 29 and 30, 2015 and on January 4, 2016, between 9.00h to 16.30h, and reduced hours on December 31, 2015 between of 9.00h to 13.00h,” the bank informed.
Thus, on, December 25, 26 and 27, 2015 and on January 1, 2 and 3, 2016 the bank’s units will be closed. The institution announced that it has taken all necessary measures so that the network of ATMs available to customers run throughout this period, and emergency assistance service for cardholders will be available 24 hours of 24.
The units of Banca Transilvania (BT) will also be closed on December 25 and 26 this year and on January 1 and 2, 2016. On December 24 and 31 the bank’s units will be open between 9.00h to 16.00h and units located in major shopping centres will be opened on December 24 and 31, between 10.00h – 16.00h.
“The BT Italia branch will have the same programme with the units in Romania, except on December 24 and 31, when it will be open from 9.00h to 13.00h,” reads a bank press release.
Instead, Transilvania Bank agencies located in large shopping centres will be open on December 27, 2015 and January 3, 2016, between 10.00h and 19.00h, during which it will only carry out certain operations.
