Competition Council starts investigation on the market of agricultural machinery and equipment

The Competition Council has launched an investigation into a possible agreement between manufacturers, importers and distributors on the market for the trade of agricultural machines, machinery and equipments. According to a press release, the competition authority suspects that several competing companies have coordinated their commercial policies with regard to setting the selling price, hotnews.ro informs.

The companies investigated are: Agri-Alianta S.R.L., Agriromex A.D. S.A., Agrocomert Holding S.A., Agroconcept Impex S.R.L., Beyne Agrorom S.R.L., Claas Regional Center South East Europe S.R.L., Farm Tech S.R.L., General Leasing S.A., Ipso S.R.L., Irum S.A., Maschio-Gaspardo Romania S.R.L., Mewi Import Export Agrar Industrietechnik S.R.L., Nhr Agropartners S.R.L., Proinvest S.R.L., Riela Romania S.R.L., Tadis Agro S.R.L., Titan Machinery Romania S.R.L., Vaderstad S.R.L., as well as Asociatia Romana a Producatorilor si Importatorilor de Masini Agricole (APIMAR – Romanian Association of Agricultural Equipment Producers and Importers).

In the course of this investigation, the Competition Council carried out unannounced inspections at the headquarters of some companies, and the documents seized are in the analysis of the competition authority in the specific investigation procedure.
