Dacia car sales in Europe (EU and EFTA) soared by 27.9% and the market share increased from 2.8% to 3.3%, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA).
Dacia car registrations reached 47,373 units in May, up against May 2016 (37,043 units).
Renault and PSA Peugeot Citroen report sales increases by 10.4% and 4.8% respectively, whereas Volkswagen of 8.4%. Ford reports sales increases of 4.1%.
In the first five months of 2017, Dacia car deliveries have increased by 11% in Europe, while the market share increased from 2.7% to 2.8%. Dacia car registrations in Europe amounted to 196,103 units, up against the similar period in 2016 (176,610 units).
On the other hand, the Romanian market grew until the end of May up to 36,978 units, up by 23.3% against the similar period in 2016, the second level of growth in the European Union, after Croatia (28.2%), the Romanian Automobile Manufacturers (ACAROM) informs.
