Former ANAF chief Mirela Calugareanu reappointed in office, as Valcov’s people are replaced

Mirela Calugareanu has been reappointed in the position of National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF) chief, as Mihaela Triculescu, a close person to Darius Valcov, was released from office.

Mihaela Triculescu, president of ANAF and Adriana Cotel, head of the National House for Health Insurances (CNAS) have been released from office on Monday, the decisions being published by the Official Gazette. Both of them were close people to Darius Valcov, the resigned economic adviser to Prime Minister Viorica Dancila.

Triculescu has been replaced by Mirela Calugareanu, former ANAF chief during the Mihai Tudose cabinet. Triculescu had been appointed in office on January 3.

Adriana Cotel is temporary replaced by Razvan Teohari Vulcanescu, currently CNAS Vice-President.

Mirela Calugareanu was ANAF head during July 2017-march 2-18, being replaced by Ionut Misa. She has a 26-year experience in finances, was the first woman president of ANAF.

Since December 2017, Mirela Calugareanu is member of the CEC Bank Board of Administration.

Darius Valcov has resigned on Monday from the position of economic adviser to Prime Minister Viorica Dancila, following a discussion with the Premier, Government sources inform.

The Prime Minister has accepted the resignation, ziare.com reports.
