NEPI launched its newest mall in Piatra Neamt, a EUR 25 M investment

The South-African investment fund New Europe Property Investments (NEPI) opened on Thursday new mall – Piatra Neamt Shopping City, Northeastern Romania.

The total investment amounts to EUR 25 million, the real estate developer announced.

“In the last years NEPI invested intensively in Romania, which reconfirms that we are a very active real estate developer, Piatra Neamt Shopping City being the second shopping center we are inaugurating this year after Timisoara Shopping City. Such retail concept has the power to attract people from across the region, just because we designed it based on the needs of the northeast Romanians, Sebastian Mahu, the representative of  the largest real estate investor in Romania by assets stated, adding that over 5.5 million people are expected to visit the mall in the first year of operation.

At the same time, Piatra Neamt Shopping City bring first Carrefour hypermarket in the region and will sell over 50,000 products.

The opening of the new mall generates more than 1,500 jobs in Neamt County.

The Shopping City is covering a lettable area of 28,000 square meters and is located on two levels, including also an outdoor parking for 1,000 seats.

Piatra Neamt Shopping City hosts over 70 brands, such as: New Yorker, Benvenuti, Orsay, C&A, CCC, Deichmann, TAKKO, Gatta, Jonny Joy, Neofashion, Marelbo, H&M or Intersport.

NEPI’s portfolio in Romania means Mega Mall, Promenada Mall, Vulcan Value Center, Timisoara Shopping City, City Park Constanta, Ploiesti Shopping City, Braila Mall,Galati Shopping City, Târgu-Jiu Shopping City, Severin Shopping Center, Deva Shopping City and other commercial centers, as well as office buildings Floreasca Business Park, The LakeView, Aviatorilor 8 in Bucharest, City Business Centre in Timisoara and The Office in Cluj.
