The gold price has reached a record high of the past seven years, of almost RON 186 per gram, according to the figures released by the National Bank of Romania (BNR).
The price of the gram of gold climbed from RON 182.0719 to RON 185.9471, due to the increase of volatility on the international financial markets. This is the highest level since December 14, 2012, when the price was RON 186.6382.
The RON/EUR exchange rate has reached on Thursday 4.7287 units.
The US Dollar, indirectly rated on the Romanian market by reference to the European single currency, fell from RON 4.2193 to RON 4.1834.
