A woman to run ProCredit Bank Romania

As of April 21, Dr Antje Marielle Gerhold started her duties as new General Manager of ProCredit Bank, the only bank in Romania with 100 percent German shareholders, a press release informs. Thus, she joins Mariana Petkova, Deputy General Manager, at the helm of the bank.

As a member of the Management Board of ProCredit Holding, the parent company of ProCredit Bank Romania, the new General Manager of the bank is well acquainted with the institution. Prior to being nominated to the Management Board of the German bank subsidiary in Romania, Gerhold held the position of Chairperson of the bank’s Supervisory Board.

“I am looking forward to continuing my work at ProCredit Bank Romania from this new perspective and to contributing to the further development of the high-quality services that ProCredit Bank provides for SMEs and private individuals,” Gerhold stated.

As a Managing Director in Commerzbank’s Central Eastern Europe segment and with a strong career with Deloitte Business Consulting behind her, Gerhold brings a vast amount of experience in the banking sector, the Eastern European economic environment and people management, which will contribute to the continued successful development of the bank subsidiary in Romania, the release reads.
