Vehicles heavier than 3.5 tonnes cannot use the Sun Highway during weekends

Vehicles weighting more than 3.5 tonnes, other than those carrying only people, cannot use on Fridays, Saturday and on Sunday the A2 motorway during July 1- August 31, 2016, a release from the National Company of Motorways and National Roads in Romania (CNADNR), informed on Friday.

The restriction is valid on the section of road Bucharest (Bucharest Ring Road junction with A2) – Fundulea – Lehliu – Fetesti – Murfatlar (A2 junction with DN3), on the direction Bucharest-Constanta for Fridays between 12.00h and 24.00h as well and Saturdays between 6.00h and 14.00h. The same restriction is imposed on Sunday from 12.00h to 24.00h on the direction Constanta-Bucharest- and Fetesti-Cernavoda.

Vehicles of over 7.5 tonnes will not have access on National Road DN 39, between Agigea (DN 39 to DN 39A junction) and the entrance in Mangalia, in both directions, on Fridays between 12.00h and 22.00h and Saturdays and Sundays between 6.00h and 22.00h.

These vehicles also cannot run on DN 22C, between Murfatlar and Cernavoda, on Sundays between 12.00h and 24.00h.
