One United Properties real estate developer has announced a significant project for the German tech giant Infineon Technologies. They will construct a sustainable prime office building to serve as Infineon’s headquarters for 15 years, beginning in 2026. The contract’s total value is EUR 57 million (excluding VAT), making it one of the largest office preleases in the local market.
The agreement covers the lease of office space with a Gross Leasable Area of 20,595 sqm and parking for a new office building that One United Properties will develop in Bucharest. This office will meet the expanding needs of Infineon Technologies, a company that has been operating a Research & Development center in Romania for 18 years. One United Properties was selected as the development partner following a competitive process initiated three years ago.
The new development will be situated in the Barbu Văcărescu – Dimitrie Pompeiu area of Bucharest and will offer 20,595 sqm GLA, including 3,000 sqm of laboratories, to serve as the local headquarters for 15 years. The office building will adhere to sustainable principles, integrating advanced technology, materials, and LEED Platinum certification. Completion is expected in Q2 2026.
