Orange Romania: Growing revenues by 11 pc in Q2. No change on customer portfolio

Orange Romania, local subsidiary of French Orange Group, former France Telecom, reported in the second quarter of this year a portfolio of 10,080 million customers, a constant level compared to the first quarter of 2017, financial report reveals.

At the same time, the revenues of increased by 11 percent to EUR 266.8 million in Q2, after rising 4.6 percent in the Q1, led by stronger mobile equipment sales and the improved trend in fixed and mobile services.

TV services had 351,000 customers at 30 June 2017, an increase of 15.3 percent year on year, while fixed broadband services had 124,000 customers at 30 June 2017.

During April-June period, compared with the same period of the previous year, total mobile internet traffic doubled, while the 4G increased fourfold, maintaining the growth rate in the previous quarter.

On end-June, 2.6 million customers used Orange 4G services, 65 percent more than in the second quarter of 2016, and 4G smartphone sales were up 15 percent.
