Romanian furniture industry must consider Poland’s legislation and not only, because it encourages the purchase of raw materials for local producers, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania, Mihai Daraban said on Saturday at the BIFE SIM 2015 – The International Trade Fair for Furniture opening, quoted by Agerpres.
„We need to copy a legislation to facilitate Romanian businessman’s life and especially of the businessman with internal capital. Romanian private capital should be supported through coherent legislative measures that have already been invented, and not to be created. Domestic capital suffers because is thrown into a competition in which has no way to cope. We are at the first generation of businessmen, so something extra has to be made, legally speaking,” Daraban said.
He added that the package of laws in this country are passing also both the European Union and competition filters.
According to him, the furniture industry employs about 69,000 people in Romania. Also, CCIR official expressed his dissatisfaction with the situation in which the public-private partnership law is found.
BIFE-SIM, the international trade fair of furniture, equipment and accessories hosted by the Romexpo Halls in Bucharest, showcases Romanian and foreign companies sharing knowledge to specialists and the public alike.
Throughout September 23, visitors can admire pieces of furniture for all kinds of spaces — from modern housing units (more or less capacious) to classically designed houses, tapestry news, latest cuisine trends and innovations, unique works by Romanian designers, decorations and accessories as well as painted and refurbished furniture.
Organisers say BIFE-SIM will also host an event that has already become a tradition in the Romanian design circles, the Design Conference, which this year focuses on urban design.
On display for the duration of the fair will be state-of-the-art equipment: numerical wood processing equipment; edge banding equipment; cut-to-size equipment; sanding machines; circular saws and similar equipment; modern accessories and highly-yielding technological materials with higher physical and chemical traits, according to organisers.
