Qatar Airways celebrates 5 years in Romania, doubling its flights to Doha

Qatar Airways, the state-owned flag carrier of Qatar and one of the fastest growing airlines in the world, celebrates five years of operations in Romania, marking this by doubling the flights to Doha as of this month, a press release informs on Friday.

Qatar Airways makes it two times easier to plan a trip on the Doha – Bucharest route and provides enhanced connectivity to the over 150 Qatar Airways destinations from the Middle East, India, Asia and Australia, starting August.

Travel fares for the Bucharest – Doha route start at EUR 730, all taxes included.

The new flight schedule offers convenient travel alternatives, with daily take-off from ‘Henri Coandă’ International Airport to Doha, at 1:10 p.m. and 8:35 p.m. every day.

“Since the launch of the Doha – Bucharest route five years ago, we have grown from four weekly flights via Budapest to two direct daily flights. We are honored by the trust of passengers from Romania and delighted to facilitate access to Doha and faraway destinations, onboard modern aircraft, with the highest service standards in our industry,” Natali Brodnik, Commercial Manager Qatar Airways Romania stated.

Bucharest – Doha flights are operated with an Airbus A320, one of the 190 modern aircraft of Qatar Airways’ fleet.

Passengers travelling beyond Doha can spend their transfer time enjoying a wide range of facilities at the Hamad International Airport, the best airport in the Middle East according to the Skytrax world ranking. The airport provides free Wi-Fi, a pool and play areas for children, quiet spots, perfect for relaxation, and a variety of duty-free shops and restaurants.

Qatar Airways is the only airline flying to Romania having the prestigious Skytrax 5* award, endorsing the top-end quality standards in the industry.

Now in its 19th year of operations, Qatar Airways has a modern fleet of 190 aircraft flying to more than 150 key business and leisure destinations across six continents.
