Romania, in top 5 countries with the lowest prices of high-speed internet

Romania has among the lowest broadband tariffs in the world, according to a ranking made by the market research firm Point Topic.

Point Topic compared the entry level, median and average residential broadband tariffs across different countries in Q4 2017.

Romania is best placed according to the average tariff calculated for each market, being only by Venezuela and Russia. Romania is followed by Israel, Japan and the Republic of Moldova.

Depending on the median prices, Romania drops one place in the ranking, to the fourth position after Venezuela, Russia and Ukraine, country ranking by residential broadband tariffs shows. To this chapter, Qatar is the state with the most expensive high-speed internet, followed by the United Arab Emirates, Bolivia, Oman and Bahrain.
