Ryanair to launch the first Bucharest – Amman flight

Irish low cost airline Ryanair will launch the first flights from Bucharest to Amman, as a press release informs.

The new route will be operated with a frequency of two weekly flights starting with the end of October, as part of Ryanair’s Winter 2018 schedule.

Ryanair launched its first flights to Jordan with 14 routes in total to Amman and Aqaba airports, which will deliver almost 500,000 customers , as the company expands its operation in the Middle East.

Jordan is the 34th country in which Ryanair operates.

The move will offer a distinct fillip to the country’s all-important tourism sector, which has been severely impacted by the ongoing conflicts in Syria and Iraq. It is estimated that tourism accounts for as much as 14 percent of the country’s GDP.

Besides Bucharest, the new routes will  also connect Amman to Milan, Budapest, Bologna, Krakow, Paphos, Prague, Brussels, Vilnius and Warsaw.

“These routes will introduce new business and leisure travelers from eleven European countries to one of the most attractive tourist destinations in the world,” Ryanair’s David O’Brien stated.
