More than a quarter of urban residents (28 per cent) will be shopping on Black Friday this year. The event will take place in Romania in the weekend of November 21 to 23.
According to the results of a study on the habits of electronics, home appliances and IT products’ consumers, released on Tuesday, the main product categories targeted by consumers for discounts on Black Friday are home appliances (28 per cent), followed by mobile phones (18 per cent), TV sets (18 per cent), clothes / shoes (12 per cent) and laptops / notebooks (10 per cent).
According to the research, about 28 per cent of urban residents said that they will be shopping during the discounts’ weekend, while more than half (54 per cent) does not know for sure if they will go shopping, following to make a decision on this based on the existing discounts.
The study also reveals that on Black Friday those who will purchase products are those aged between 25 and 34 years old (38 per cent), as well as consumers from the age group 35-44 years old (34 per cent).
This year, Black Friday is scheduled in Romania a week earlier than the traditional event taking place in the United States of America.
