Tarom to lay off 300 employees

Tarom has notified the trade unions that it will lay off 300 employees, mostly administrative jobs, local media reported.

At the end of August, Transports minister Razvan Cuc announced in a press conference that 300 jobs will be restructured at the national flag carrier and that some management positions will be also downsized, and that’s just to start.

The 300 layoffs will eye commercial, economic and purchasing departments, arguing that many of the total of 470 staff of the technical departments are not working at their full capacity.
