Tarom to pay compensations of EUR 270,000

Following the decision of former Minister of Transport, Ramona Manescu, two years ago, by which she dismissed the Board of Administration of Tarom, it was set that the Romanian air carrier has to pay compensations of EUR 270,000, digi24.ro informs.

Thus, Dan Pascariu – banker, Dumitru Prunariu – former astronaut, Valentin Macec, Marius Ghenea – businessman and Ciprian Ladunca – ?CFO & Deputy CEO MetLife (ex AIG Life) will be compensated by the airline.

Due amount to each is EUR 54,000 plus some expenses. The courts have definitively established that the revocation was unlawful and abusive and Tarom was forced to pay all the amount that was, actually, the allowance to which they were entitled until the end of the contract,” Cosmin Vasile, Managing Partner of Zamfirescu, Racoti & Partners said.
