Travelminit.ro expands throughout Central and Eastern Europe

Travelminit.ro expanded throughout Central and Eastern Europe, introducing for the first time the option to book accommodation in six countries from Central and Eastern Europe: Hungary, Croatia, Austria, Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia.

At the same time, on January 17, the online hotel platform Travelminit.ro launched a new interface for its customers. The new platform is the result of a two-year integration.
In 2018, when Travelminit joined the Szallas group, the online booking rate was 44%, while in 2023 it is 57%.
As of February 1, 2024, József Szigetvári, CEO of Szallas.hu Zrt, retired from his position and will remain with Szallas as an advisor strategic, while Rigó Ferenc, current member of the Travelminit.ro management, will remain interim CEO of the Szallas group until the election of the new CEO.
Also, in Romania, the position of CEO for Travelminit.ro will be taken over starting on February 1, 2024 by Timea Imecs-Ambrus, who until now held the position of business development director.
“We are proud to announce that we have taken an important step in the development of Travelminit.ro: we have launched a new interface, much more user-friendly, much more efficient, simple and intuitive. We are confident that this upgrade will strengthen tourists’ confidence in our project, but also that it will contribute to increasing the number of reservations on the platform, to creating a new vacation experience. At the same time, we are happy to announce that, for the first time, Travelminit.ro customers will be able to book accommodation in Hungary, Croatia, Austria, the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia, benefiting from affordable prices at a varied range of accommodation units. It was not an easy process, because we had to migrate a site with tens of thousands of daily visitors and thousands of weekly reservations. It was a real challenge, as if we had to change the engine and body of a car running on the highway. But it was well worth it, because the guests and hoteliers in Romania were enriched with a more modern and faster interface, which has the role of helping the growth of Travelminit in the long term”, says Timea Imecs-Ambrus, the new CEO of the business .
