Trendyol e-commerce platform has announced today plans to open an office in Bucharest, as well as a warehouse in Romania, for which it will employ around 250 people, when it becomes operational, in 2025.
Also, the company with The Istanbul-based company plans to integrate local sellers into its booming marketplace by the end of this year. Trendyol launched the Romanian language app in January 2024 and quickly recorded the fastest growth in the Central and Eastern European (CEE) markets, reaching 500,000 customers in Romania to date.
Since launching on the local market, Trendyol has sold over 3 million items sold in Romania. Trendyol offers a weekly selection of over 2.5 million products from well-known Turkish brands, but also the best-selling Trendyol collection.

Trendyol is also completing the second year of its Sustainable Development Plan. This comprehensive sustainability strategy and agenda underpins Trendyol’s activities in sustainable manufacturing, human rights protection, carbon reduction, responsible packaging and waste management, as well as initiatives that promote diversity, equity and inclusion, equal opportunities of women and digital training in remote areas of Turkey. The progress report over the last 12 months will be released in the autumn.
