Turkish Margun Enerji Enters Romania to Develop 150 MW Solar Power Plants

Margun Enerji from Turkey recently opened a subsidiary in Romania. Margun Romania Climatech, indirectly owned by Margun Enerji, wants to develop a solar power plant project with a capacity of 150 MW in Romania, according to an information from the board of directors of the parent company.
The solar power plants developed by Margu in Romania would generate annual revenues of over 12 million euros, say the investors.
The Romanian subsidiary of Margun Enerji specializes in electricity production and has a share capital of 1.25 million lei. The newly established company is owned by a subsidiary of Margun Enerji from the Netherlands, called Margun Climatech BV. The Turkish company expects the 150 MW project in Romania to generate revenues of 12.7 million euros and EBITDA of 11.5 million euros per year.
On April 26, Margun Climatech BV from the Netherlands was established – a subsidiary of Margün Enerji Üretim A.Ş. with a share capital of 1 million euros. During the board meeting of Margun Climatech BV on May 7, 2024, the company decided to establish a company in Romania to invest in green energy.
