Up to €150,000 for privacy-focused IT technologies and solutions through an EU-backed program

Entrepreneurs, startups, Romanian SMEs and other categories that develop privacy-focused technologies and solutions for users who search and discover information on the Internet can enroll in a program that offers financial support of up to EUR 150,000.

Entrepreneurs, startups, SMEs (including start-ups), developers, academic research groups and NGOs can apply for this program here.

The call is launched on August 1 and remains open until October 2, 2023 at 18:00 (Romanian time).

The NGI Search project, funded under the Horizon Europe program of the European Commission, aims to support NGI Searchers who will develop privacy-focused and trusted technologies and solutions for users searching and discovering information on the Internet.

The project is part of the Next Generation Internet (NGI), the “Internet for People” initiative of the European Commission, and aims to turn tomorrow’s Internet into an Internet that meets the basic needs of people.

With 5 European partners contributing to the project, NGI Search has launched its third open call for innovative projects through which those selected will benefit from financial support of up to EUR 150,000, as well as technical, business and innovation support on a 12-month period, to develop solutions that change the way people use and experience, search and discover data and resources in general on the internet and the web.

The program supports entrepreneurs, tech-geeks, developers, startups and SMEs, organizations, academic research groups, NGOs from EU member states, applying individually or in the form of a consortium.
