VWR, the leading global independent provider of product and service solutions to laboratory and production customers, recently bought by rival Avantor, enters Romania, profit.ro informs.
US-based company has already chose to open an office in Timpuri Noi Square, Bucharest, through a division managed by Jenell Metka, manager of VWR Global Business Centers.
VWR, headquartered in Radnor, Pennsylvania, recorded sales in excess of USD 4.5 billion in 2016. VWR enables science for customers in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, industrial, education, government and healthcare industries. VWR has about 250,000 customers in Europe and North America, with a portfolio of about 1.2 million products.
Last year, the laboratory supplies maker VWR was purchased by New Mountain Capital (NMFC) subsidiary Avantor in a deal with an enterprise value of USD 6.4 billion.
