V7 Capital invests in Wineful, launching the first wine subscription service in Romania

V7 Capital, the investment fund launched by 7card founders, Andrei Cretu and Iulian Circiumaru, is investing EUR 50,000 in a first round in Wineful startup, a virtual community and an online shop for wine lovers who want to learn more about this Bacchus drink.

Wineful was launched in 2016 by Elena Oglinda, a sommelier and wine lover, as a dedicated community to wine enthusiasts, to which an online store joined later.

After the partnership with V7 Capital and its initial investment, Wineful has a new image by re-launching the website and introducing new services and products.

Thus, the first Romanian wine subscription is launched, which helps its members to develop their taste and knowledge, discovering each month new varieties and wine cellars recommended by the collaborating sommeliers.

The price of a two-bottle subscription is RON 100 per month, while the four-bottle subscription reaches RON 180 per month. Regardless of the chosen subscription plan, the wines are coming with guides that have all the necessary information about the selected drink: tasting notes, serving recommendations, association suggestions with food and the story of the wine cellars where wine is produced.

Wineful also offers corporate subscriptions.

Wineful collaborates mainly with local producers because it wants to support the community of small entrepreneurs, that’s why most of the products on the site are made by producers, workshops and local artists.
