Wizz Air has announced today new service from Bucharest to Edinburgh starting from 23 December 2019. Flights to Scotland’s capital will be operated two times a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Tickets are already available on wizzair.com starting from as low as EUR 29.99/RON 129 (one-way, including taxes and non-optional charges).
Edinburgh is the newest destination in the expansive WIZZ network. The city offers great holiday opportunities for families, as well as a very good city break option for those who want to have a short getaway to change the scene. With almost 500.000 inhabitants, Edinburgh is the second largest city in Scotland after Glasgow, which can also be reached by car or train in about an hour for a combined holiday in two cities. Edinburgh has a lot to offer with not less than 12 major festivals each year, of which most take place in August. Visitors can admire incredible rich historical heritage, like the Edinburgh Castle or the St. Gilles Cathedral and many more. For those who want to relax and enjoy breath-taking views, Edinburgh can be admired from the Arthur’s seat or Calton Hill.
Wizz Air has also announced the launch of four new routes from Timisoara, launched at the beginning of August 2019 to Billund, Nuremberg, Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden, as well as Doncaster. The newest Wizz Air services from Timisoara give Romanian passengers a great opportunity to visit Billund, the lovely city in the heart of Denmark, which is the home of the famous Lego Company; two exciting German cities – the historic, gothic-styled peak-shaped Nuremberg and Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden, a relaxing spa town next to the French Border with one of the most attractive castle landmarks in the country; as well as with the gem of the British Victorian era, Doncaster/Sheffield in the United Kingdom.
Paulina Gosk, Corporate Communications Manager at Wizz Air said: “We are happy to announce today the new destination available from Bucharest – Edinburgh, the heart of Scotland. Thanks to that direct connection, Romanian travelers can easily visit this vibrant city. Edinburgh is a mixture of historical and modern, surrounded by beautiful landscapes and rich in attractions. It gives a lot of opportunities for holiday seekers, for all tastes and expectations. With two flights per week, on Tuesday and Saturday, it is easy to book a short city break or an extended holiday with excellent fares starting from only RON 129.
Today we are also celebrating the launch of four new routes from Timisoara to Billund, Nuremberg, Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden and Doncaster/Sheffield. With this expansion, Wizz Air underlines its commitment to contributing to the development of economy, aviation and tourism sectors in Romanian regions. We are looking forward to welcoming passengers onboard our flights to the newest destinations in our network.”
