Yacht KID real estate development awarded internationally at three major competitions

Romanian architecture and developments are increasingly recognized internationally. Following the SHARE Architecture Award in 2024,  the real estate project Yacht KID, developed by the KID Group of companies in the northern part of Bucharest, right on the shores of Lake Tei, has won two more important awards at relevant competitions. Yacht KID won the “Excellent Architecture” distinction at the German Design Awards 2025, as well as the “Honorable Mention in Architectural Design / Residential” distinction at the Built Design Awards 2024. Both international competitions aim to celebrate and reward excellence in architecture and design, honouring innovative ideas and visionary specialists in the field.

“It is a real honour and joy to see Romanian architecture awarded on the international stage. We are confident that our efforts to create modern and sustainable buildings are appreciated. Each of these distinctions is more than a recognition of the exceptional quality of our development, it also stands for the effort of the entire team involved in this real estate project. At the same time, we see these awards as a confirmation of the KID team’s dedication, together with the specialized architects from X Architecture & Engineering. Our purpose is to make a contribution to the local industry and change for the better urban landscape in Bucharest”, said Bogdan Ghiță, co-founder of the KID Group of companies.

The experts at German Design Awards 2025 decided to honour the Yacht KID residential complex for its blend of contemporary comfort and sustainable construction. They also praised the use of prefabricated exterior walls to improve energy efficiency and sound insulation, as well as the use of yacht composites for decorative elements. This state-of-the-art technology is designed, patented and technically approved by the developer, under the KID Tehnology brand. It is unique on the local market as it provides the use of prefabricated walls with ventilated facades with intelligent sealing and airtightness technologies, solutions supplied on an exclusive basis by the German company ISO-Chemie. The specially designed walls are completely prefabricated in Romania, with innovative thermal insulation, sealing, airtightness, soundproofing, soundproofing and burglar-proofing elements. The building thus benefits from increased energy efficiency, reduced heating and cooling costs, fire and condensation protection, all with minimal environmental impact and in compliance with nZEB (nearly Zero-Energy Building) standards. The decorative elements for the intrados of the balconies are also a first, made of advanced composite materials used in yacht manufacturing, a unique approach on the Romanian market.

The Built Design Awards 2024 underlines the harmonious combination of quality and functionality, as this Romanian real estate development manages to meet the contemporary needs of urban life. Located at 6 Anton Holban Street, right on the shores of Lake Tei, Yacht KID is a modern, exclusive development with spectacular views of the lake. Over 200 premium apartments, including 7 with private gardens and pools and 4 penthouses, as well as a shopping area, serve a modern, vibrant community concerned with a healthy living environment and prioritizing privacy, quality, and contemporary lifestyle. The development also includes underground parking for greater space efficiency.

The Yacht KID community is already taking shape. The developer has handed over 80% of the units to end-customers, and the commercial area of the development has attracted operators that provide access to on-site amenities, such as: the AMCOR – Complete Dentistry dental clinic, the luxury boutique TC Joyeria, specializing in high-end watches, jewellery and handbags, the MOB | Ministry of Beauty salon, redefining luxury standards with premium hair, makeup and manicure services, and Ghost Agency, a media and BTL agency. The shopping area was designed, along with other premium services, to serve residents and enhance the quality of life in the Yacht KID community.

The investment in the Yacht KID project, a high-end real estate development already completed and delivered, amounted to EUR 35 million. The developer’s patented construction technology will be used as a branding element for the Group’s future developments.
