The move comes after on Wednesday PSD failed to remove Badulescu from the deputy mayor position, as the Bucharest General Council has rejected his removal.
Badulescu stated on Wednesday that all this happened because he had remained next to general mayor Gabriela Firea in the fight against PSD current leadership.

Amonth ago, Aurelian Badulescu has got into a fight with his party fellow, district 6 mayor Gabriel Mutu in the PSD’s office of the Bucharest City Hall on Thursday, amid the conflict the deputy mayor embarked on with his party.
More precisely, Badulescu told journalists that he had lied the prosecutors investigating the file of the Diaspora rally.
