Deputy Prime Minister Gabriel Oprea said in an interview that UNPR will withdraw from the ruling coalition if PSD will amend the Criminal Code in Parliament in the coming period. Currently, there are 20 draft laws in the Chamber of Deputies to amend the Criminal Code and the Criminal Procedure Code.
UNPR president Gabriel Oprea said during the show “After 20 years” on ProTV that he has told Prime Minister Victor Ponta and other colleagues in the ruling coalition, that “when some are working stealthily to modify the Criminal Code” in Parliament or want “the demolition of the Romanian state,” his party will leave the political power.
Oprea stressed he has had talks with the PNL co-chairs Alina Gorghiu and Vasile Blaga about a new parliamentary majority, but he has told them that he would not vote against a government he is part of. Moreover, he said he would not vote for a censure motion this autumn.
