The Directorate General for Internal Protection (DGPI), also known as the Interior Ministry’s intelligence service, informed on Tuesday that the WhatsApp conversations between the Capital prefect and an Interior Ministry’s official mentioned by Bucharest mayor Gabriela Firea as tapped and presented by Interior minister Carmen Dan ,have not been intercepted by the institution, while strongly denying the attempt of involving DGPI in political disputes.
„The alleged wiretaps of some conversations presented in the public space have not been conducted by DGPI and have nothing to do with our activity, which is regulated on the national security field through the GEO no 76/2016. DGPI is strongly denying any attempt to involve the institution in political disputes (…),” DGPI press relese reads.
DGPI stance comes after Bucharest mayor Gabriela Firea had accused that minister Carmen Dan had come to the CExN meeting with a file containing “copies of SMS and WhatsApp conversations, private conversations between the prefect and a secretary of state.”
„Minister Dan has not replied to what I had said. She came with some copies of WhatsApp conversations, printed copies of some private talks between the Prefect and some gentlemen about the protests. I asked her is she is spying on us. She has a personal problem with me and with the Prefect, she offended the Prefect,” Firea stated back then.
Firea added she could feel she is being spied on as long as she had been warned by the Interior minister Carmen Dan that the WhatsApp is very easy to intercept.
„As long as she knew what I would say and I hadn’t talked to anyone and she had come prepared with some private WhatsApp conversations. She warned me last year to be careful what I am talking on WhatsApp because these talks are easy to intercept and that she has, probably from the DGPI, talks between a senator and other people,” Firea said on Saturday.
PSD chairman Liviu Dragnea has retorted to Firea’s statements during a TV show on Monday evening, asking the Bucharest mayor to file complaints or to bring evidence to support her allegations on the spying in the party.
„There are serious allegations, she should file criminal complaints or bring evidence. I have nothing to comment,” Dragnea replied.
As for the accusation that the footage spread on the Internet saying that it had been Simona Halep booed on the National Arena during an awarding ceremony this spring and not Gabriela Firea had been actually made with Dragnea’s consent, the SocDem chair retorted: „It’s an aberration. That really hurts”.
“Firea added she could feel she is being spied on”. Pfft….Ha. Hahahahaha… HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!
“PSD chairman Liviu Dragnea has retorted to Firea’s statements during a TV show on Monday evening, asking the Bucharest mayor to file complaints or to bring evidence to support her allegations on the spying in the party.” So are we going to see evidence of his assassination attempt? I swear these are the most ridiculous children running around in adult bodies.
