European Union citizens, including Romanians and citizens with double citizenship, Romanian and Moldova, will be able to travel to the Republic of Moldova only presenting their ID cards at the border check points.
The Government in Chisinau on Tuesday enacted a decision that annulled the border passport requirement for citizens of the European Union and the law has been published in the Official Gazette on Friday.
So far, Romanians and other EU citizens were compelled to present their passports at the border with Moldova, although the European Union lifted visas for Moldovans last year.
