European Parliament to adopt resolution on Romania, following debates on August 10 rally – MEP says

The European Parliament will adopt a resolution on the situation in Romania in the second plenary session in October, a debate being expected on the August 10 violence in early October, PNL MEP Siegfried Muresan has announced on Thursday. He added that Prime Minister Viorica Dancila will be invited to speak during the debate.

“We have news on the debate about the situation in Romania to take place at the European parliament: the plenary debates will take place in the first plenary session in October (October 1-4). The European Parliament will adopt a resolution on the situation in Romania in the second session in October (October 22-25). The Romanian Prime Minister will be invited to the debate in early October,” Muresan wrote on Facebook.

The decision has been made by the group leaders sitting in the European Parliament.

The second plenary session in October will be attended by President Klaus Iohannis to have a speech on the future of Europe, announcement made in spring by the European Parliament, caleaeuropeana.ro informs.
