Gheorghe Ialomiţianu, former Minister of Finance, has announced on Monday that he has resigned from PNL Braşov.
“Today, I decided to resign from PNL Brasov. I thank the former colleagues in this party for their good cooperation,” Ialomiţianu wrote Monday morning on Facebook.
Gheorghe Ialomiţianu, former Minister of Finance between September 2010 and February 2012, was withdrawn from the lists for the 2016 European Parliament elections, digi24.ro reports.
Ialomiţianu is 59 years old and is a graduate of the Universitatea de Vest of Timişoara, having a PhD degree at Babeş-Bolyai University.
Before 1990, Gheorghe Ialomiţianu was for two years economist with the Râşnov Machine Tools Company, and during 1985-1993 he was professor at the “Andrei Bârseanu” Economic College.
In 1993 he began his university career as lecturer with the Transilvania University in Brasov, and since 2008 is top lecturer.
For four years (1997-2001) he was general manager of the Regional Directorate of Public Finance in Braşov, and then, for 7 years, he was Deputy Executive Director with the same institution.
