The Constitutional Court (CCR) has decided on Thursday that the law enabling the government to issue ordinances during the parliament recess is constitutional, rejecting thus the challenges filed by PNL, USR and PMP.
CCR chairman Valer Dorneanu said all criticism have been considered unfounded, without connection to constitutionality, digi24.ro reports. The CCR decision was voted unanimously.
In filling the challenge to CCR, the opposition argued that the bill allows the executive to play the parliament’s role and that the law would allow Grindeanu cabinet to amend organic laws by simple ordinances, against the Constitutional provisions.
