Henri Malosse, EESC President: The excluding of Romania and Bulgaria from the Schengen area, unacceptable discrimination

The President of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) Henri Malosse said on Friday, in Bucharest, that in his opinion there is no reason to exclude Romania and Bulgaria from the Schengen area, hotnews.ro informs. This mechanism is questioned by European citizens because of its internal dysfunctions that stood out during the attacks of Paris, as the terrorists were citizens from inside the Schengen area.
“The real problems are different, the Schengen area should be strengthened through cooperation between the police forces of the Member States and will require a true common immigration policy. The arguments used by politicians in some countries to exclude Romania and Bulgaria are rather populist,” said Henri Malosse.
